Regular Season Round 34: Kyoto Hannar. - Fukuoka Rizing 63-72

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (20-8) against fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (19-11) on Sunday night. Host Kyoto Hannar. was defeated by Fukuoka Rizing in a tough game in Kyoto 63-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. It looked good early as Kyoto Hannar. took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fukuoka Rizing had a 24-11 second period charge getting the lead and Kyoto Hannar. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-72. Kyoto Hannar. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Jermaine Dearman (202-80, college: S.Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and center Lance Allred (211-81, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukuoka Rizing maintains fourth position with 19-11 record. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Osaka Evessa. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Toyama Grouses (#4) on the road in the next round. Kyoto Hannar. will play against Shiga L-Stars and hopes to get back on the winning track.
