Regular Season Round 34: Shimane SM - Hamamatsu P. 83-85

The most exciting game of round 34 in the BJ League took place in Shimane. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Shimane Magic (17-13) to first ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (19-10) 85-83 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Hamamatsu Phoenix made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and center Jeral Davis (216-84) added 18 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Hamamatsu Phoenix have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-10 record. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix are looking forward to face league's leader Okinawa GK at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shimane Magic will play against Yokohama BC (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
