There was a surprise result when eighteenth ranked UCAM Murcia (5-14) outleveled at home higher ranked FIATC Joventut (7-12) 76-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. UCAM Murcia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American swingman Ime Udoka (196-77, college: Portland St., agency: Priority Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Montenegrin power forward Blagota Sekulic (208-82, agency: FCM) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four UCAM Murcia players scored in double figures. At the losing side Dominican forward Eulis Baez (201-82, college: W.Illinois) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Czech guard David Jelinek (196-90) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UCAM Murcia moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Blusens M. Loser FIATC Joventut dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. UCAM Murcia will face higher ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#12) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
