Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Rayyan (#1) and As Sadd (#2). Al Rayyan (7-0) won against visiting As Sadd (5-2) 79-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of As Sadd. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Chauncey Leslie (183-81, college: Iowa) who led the winners and scored 28 points. The former international power forward Yasseen Ismail (204-80) accounted for 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Senegalese forward Djibril Thiam (208-86, college: Wyoming) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American center Michael Southall (210-82, college: La-Lafayette) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for As Sadd in the defeat. Al Rayyan have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. As Sadd at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Al Gharrafah. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
