Regular Season Round 30: Foshan LL - Zhejiang CB 111-107

Bottom-ranked Foshan managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Zhejiang Cyclones 111-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zhejiang Cyclones. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 38-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Syrian guard Michel Maadanly (195-81) scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) chipped in 31 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Foshan's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard J.R. Smith (198-85) with 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Foshan and five Zhejiang Cyclones players scored in double figures. Foshan (7-21) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Jiangsu D. Loser Zhejiang Cyclones keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Xinjiang F.T.. Foshan will meet at home bottom-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#17) in the next round. Zhejiang Cyclones will play against Shanghai Sharks (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
