Sixteenth-ranked Novipiu CM (5-14) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Cimberio Varese (10-9) in Casale. The visitors from Varese managed to secure only six-point victory 64-58. However their fans expected much easier game. Novipiu CM was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 16-12 charge of Cimberio Varese, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time.
