Very important is a road loss of third ranked Blois (12-7) against fourth ranked Souffelweyersheim (13-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Blois was defeated by Souffelweyersheim in Souffel. 83-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Blois. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Chadian forward Jacques Alingue (201-88) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Jessie Begarin (190-88, agency: Court Side) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Finnish forward Ville Kaunisto (204-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and center Jonathan Tornato (210-89) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Blois in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Souffelweyersheim moved-up to third place, which they share with Orchy. Blois at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Cognac and Roche. Souffelweyersheim will play against Orchesien BC (#4) in Orchies in the next round. Blois will play at home against Le Puy ASMB in Le Puy en Velay and hopes to get back on the winning track.
