Very predictable result when sixth ranked Basket Parma (9-6) defeated at home 11th ranked Cagliari CUS (2-13) 86-81. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cagliari CUS was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 27-17 charge of Basket Parma, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Basket Parma forced 21 Cagliari CUS turnovers and had a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Brazilian guard Adriana Moises Pinto (169-78) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Basket Parma's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
