Regular Season Round 16: Galil Gilboa - Maccabi Rishon 75-74

The most exciting game of round 16 in the Premier League took place in Galil. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Maccabi Rishon (8-6) to second ranked Galil Gilboa (10-5) 75-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Maccabi Rishon. Worth to mention a great performance of American Romeo Travis (200-84, college: Akron) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import power forward Joseph Jones (204-86, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (201-84, college: Hofstra, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American guard Derwin Kitchen (193-86, college: Florida St., agency: VVG Sports) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Maccabi Rishon. Four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa maintains second position with 10-5 record having just one points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Rishon at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Galil Gilboa are looking forward to face B.C. Habikaa (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Maccabi Rishon will play against Ironi Ashkelon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
