The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Real Madrid (15-4) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by ninth ranked Gescrap BB (10-9) 93-90. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Real Madrid. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 58-54 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import guard Aaron Jackson (193-86, college: Duquesne) helped adding 21 points and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). At the losing side international point guard Sergio Llull (190-87) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87) scored 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gescrap BB have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Real Madrid at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. Gescrap BB is looking forward to face Assignia Manresa (#10) at home in the next round. Real Madrid will play against Cajasol (#6) in Sevilla and is hoping to win this game.
