Rather expected game when 6th ranked Blumenau (4-8) was rolled over at home by fourth ranked Ourinhos (8-4) 70-50 on Monday. The game without a history. Ourinhos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ourinhos outrebounded Blumenau 42-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Guard Joice de Souza (174-86) fired 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Chuca De Oliveira (182-79) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ourinhos players scored in double figures. Ourinhos' coach Antonio Barbosa used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Mariana Camargo (180-85, college: ORU) produced 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Angela Braghin (173-88) added 12 points and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Ourinhos maintains fourth place with 8-4 record. Blumenau at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Ourinhos will face league's second-placed Poty/Acucar in Caranduva in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Blumenau will play on the road against Maranhao (#7) in Maranho and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
