Important game to mention about took place in Ashdod. Eighth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (6-8) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Hapoel J-M (8-7) 84-83 on Monday evening. Maccabi Ashdod made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Josh Carter (201-88, college: Texas A&M) who added 30 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Ramel Bradley (188-85) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Brian Randle (203-85) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hapoel J-M players scored in double figures. Hapoel J-M's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Maccabi Ashdod have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with B.C. Habikaa. Hapoel J-M at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Maccabi Ashdod will play against bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa (#11) on the road in the next round. Hapoel J-M will play against the league's leader Maccabi T-A (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
