Regular Season Round 31: Shandong FB - Beijing Ducks 118-112

The game between second ranked Beijing Ducks (19-10) and twelfth ranked Shandong Bulls (13-17) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Beijing Ducks were defeated by Shandong Bulls in a tough game in Jinan 112-118. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 65-57 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shandong Bulls had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Shandong Bulls especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. 32 personal fouls committed by Beijing Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Alan Anderson (198-82, college: Michigan St., agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The former international guard Jie Sun (190-86) contributed with 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Shandong Bulls' coach Bob Weiss used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists and forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Beijing Ducks. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Shandong Bulls maintains twelfth place with 13-17 record. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the second position with ten games lost. Shandong Bulls are looking forward to face TianJin Rongcheng (#14) in Tianjin in the next round. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Foshan (#16) and are hoping to win this game.
