Regular Season Round 31: Shanghai S. - Zhejiang CB 87-75

The game in Shanghai was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (15-13) played at the court of eighth ranked Shanghai Sharks (16-13). Shanghai Sharks defeated Zhejiang Cyclones 87-75 on Wednesday. Zhejiang Cyclones were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Shanghai Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Cyclones' 40. They outrebounded Zhejiang Cyclones 59-42 including 18 on the offensive glass. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 21 rebounds. Forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) accounted for 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Shanghai Sharks' coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Guard J.R. Smith (198-85) came up with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) added 6 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Zhejiang Cyclones in the defeat. Shanghai Sharks moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Guangsha L. Loser Zhejiang Cyclones dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Shanghai Sharks will meet at home bottom-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Cyclones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Hangzhou to the arena Zhejiang Guangsha Lions.
