Regular Season Round 31: Qingdao E. - TianJin S. 115-102

Rather expected game when 14th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (10-19) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Qingdao Double Star (15-15) 115-102 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Qingdao Double Star. TianJin Rongcheng was better in third quarter 33-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TianJin Rongcheng was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Kai Chen (205-88) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Qingdao Double Star players scored in double figures. American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and Ivorian-French power forward Mamadou Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers, agency: VVG Sports) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for TianJin Rongcheng. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Qingdao Double Star. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser TianJin Rongcheng keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Qingdao Double Star will have a break next round. TianJin Rongcheng will play at home against Shandong Bulls (#12) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
