Fifteenth-ranked Bayi Fubang (9-19) was very close to win a game against ninth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (16-13) in Hangzhou. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to secure only one-point victory 90-89. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Bayi Fubang took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Zhejiang Guangsha Lions had a 22-11 second period charge getting the lead and Bayi Fubang was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 89-90. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Bayi Fubang's 36. They outrebounded Bayi Fubang 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Bayi Fubang helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward Wilson Chandler (203-87, college: De Paul) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. The former international forward Lei Wang (203-86) produced 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-77) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Bayi Fubang's coach Chang Bin Adijan tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Shanghai S. Bayi Fubang at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Hangzhou Zhejiang Cyclones.
