No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked GECR Indalo (9-11) beat bottom-ranked San Martin Corrientes (5-16) in Comodoro R. 102-89 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by GECR Indalo. San Martin Corrientes was better in fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Cedric McGowan (198-85, college: Cincinnati, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Roberto Gabini (198-75, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points for the winners. GECR Indalo's coach Marcelo Richotti used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican power forward Jack Michael Martinez (203-81, agency: Paris Global Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and American forward William McFarlan (201-76, college: St.Thomas Aquinas, agency: Dream Team Management) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for San Martin Corrientes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GECR Indalo have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Wuber-Est.Bahia. San Martin Corrientes lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. GECR Indalo will face higher ranked Sionista (#3) in Parana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Martin Corrientes will play on the road against Boca Juniors (#12) in Buenos Aires.
