No shocking result in a game when third ranked Pronghorn (10-9) crushed 7th ranked Cougars (5-13) in Lethbridge, AB 94-69 on Friday. The game without a history. Pronghorn led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Pronghorn forced 22 Cougars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Julian Chief-Morris (193-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Dominyc Coward (198) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Pronghorn players scored in double figures. Guard Sterling Nostedt (185) replied with 18 points and forward Paul Gareau (201) added 11 points in the effort for Cougars. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pronghorn maintains third position with 10-9 record having just -2 points less than leader Saskatchewan. Cougars lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. Pronghorn will face again Cougars (#7) in Regina, SK in the next round.
