Very expected game when 8th ranked Wesmen (4-15) lost to fourth ranked Dinos (9-10) in Calgary, AB 86-99 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Dinos. Wesmen was better in second period 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wesmen's 38 and made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for guard Tyler Fidler (206-89) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Jarred Ogungbemi (175-91) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American forward Benny Iko (198) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Mark McNee (198) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Wesmen. Four Dinos and five Wesmen players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dinos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-10 record, which they share with Brock and Laurentian. Wesmen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 15 games lost. Dinos will face again Wesmen (#8) in Winnipeg, MB in the next round.
