Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Quimsa (10-11) defeated 14th ranked Quilmes MP (6-15) in Mar del Plata 81-66 on Friday. It was a good game for the former international forward Diego Lo Grippo (198-78) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 5 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican guard Jesse Pellot-Rosa (193-84, college: VCU, agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Axel Weigand (200-85) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds and American-Venezuelan forward Clarence Matthews (201-83, college: Tennessee St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Quilmes MP. Quimsa moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Quilmes MP keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Quimsa will face higher ranked Lanus (#6) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Quilmes MP will play at home against Libertad Sunchales (#4).
