Regular Season Round 16: Rubon - Tsmoki-Minsk II 91-69

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Rubon (9-7) crushed 5th ranked Minsk-2006 II (5-10) in Vitebsk 91-69. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. Minsk-2006 II was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Minsk-2006 II's 30. Rubon forced 20 Minsk-2006 II turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Dimitri Sivalko (199-85) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 steals and point guard Artem Malkov (185-88) who added 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Rubon players scored in double figures. Rubon's coach Ruslan Baidakov felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Croatian point guard Vedran Nakic (184-89) responded with 20 points and guard Valentin Ignatchik (192) scored 18 points. Rubon maintains third position with 9-7 record having five points less than leader Grodno-93. Newly promoted Minsk-2006 II keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with SBK Osipovichi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
