Regular Season Round 32: Bayi R. - Jilin NE T. 96-97

Everything went according to plan in Ningbo where thirteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (13-17) edged 15th ranked Bayi Fubang (9-20) 97-96 on Friday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Jilin Tigers forced 21 Bayi Fubang turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Jilin Tigers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Bayi Fubang was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Cartier Martin (201-84, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 steals and forward Cheng Zhong (206-89) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-77) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Lei Wang (203-86) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bayi Fubang's coach Chang Bin Adijan tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers moved-up to twelfth place. Bayi Fubang lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Jilin Tigers will face higher ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (#9) in Hangzhou in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bayi Fubang will play at home against Liaoning Hunters (#11) in Yingkou.
