Regular Season Round 25: Lethbridge - Regina 85-99

Everything went according to plan when leader Regina (18-0) beat on the road 6th ranked Lethbridge (6-13) 99-85 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-85. Regina looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Polish guard Joanna Zalesiak (174-88, college: UTEP) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winners and American guard Michelle Clarke (173-88, college: Purdue) chipped in 19 points. Regina's coach Dave Taylor used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Lauren Taal (175) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and guard Ali Cameron (163) scored 18 points. Five Regina and four Lethbridge players scored in double figures. Regina have an impressive series of eighteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-0 record. Lethbridge at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Regina will have a break next round. Lethbridge will play again at home against the league's leader Regina (#1).
