Regular Season Round 25: RMC - Carleton 48-77

Very expected game in Kingston where bottom-ranked RMC (0-19) was crushed by second ranked Carleton (14-5) 77-48 on Friday. The game without a history. Carleton led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RMC to just 7 points in first quarter. Carleton dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to RMC's 26. Guard Alyson Bush (170) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 steals for the winners and forward Ashleigh Cleary (180-88) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Carleton's coach Taffe Charles felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Samantha Bayne (180) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and forward Sandy Edmison (183) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four RMC players scored in double figures. Carleton have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-5 record having three points less than leader Windsor. RMC at the other side still closes the standings with 19 games lost. Carleton will face Queen's (#4) in Kingston in the next round. RMC will play at home against the league's leader Ottawa (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
