We should mention about the upset which took place in Las Palmas, where higher ranked Meridiano Alicante (13-7) lost to thirteenth ranked Gran Canaria 2014 (8-12) in a road game 53-61 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-11. But Meridiano Alicante won second period 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
