Regular Season Round 19: Segle XXI - Las Rozas 58-66

The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked Las Rozas' (6-12) road victory over 14th ranked Segle XXI (3-13) 66-58 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Segle XXI won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Segle XXI was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Chelsea Cole (190-89, college: Pittsburgh) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds. Forward Kirenia Cabrera (186-84) helped adding 18 points. At the losing side forward Maria Arrojo (186-85) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Irene Gari (184-94) scored 20 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Las Rozas moved-up to twelfth place in Group B, which they share with Cravic Reus. Segle XXI lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Las Rozas will face Palma (#15) in Palma de Mallorca in the next round. Segle XXI will play on the road against the league's second-placed Pais Vasco having rather not much hope for a victory.
