Regular Season Round 29: Lethbridge - Regina 96-72

Everything went according to plan in Lethbridge, AB where third ranked Pronghorn (11-9) outscored 7th ranked Cougars (5-14) 96-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pronghorn. Cougars was better in third quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cougars to just 3 points in second quarter. Pronghorn forced 25 Cougars turnovers and outrebounded them 45-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Forward Dominyc Coward (198) stepped up and scored 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and center Nikola Kovac (208) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pronghorn players scored in double figures. Pronghorn's coach Dave Adams felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Connor Burns (201) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Paul Gareau (201) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Pronghorn maintains third place with 11-9 record behind leader Saskatchewan. Cougars lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
