There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Shimane Magic (17-15) lost on the road to sixth ranked Yokohama BC (16-15) 84-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Yokohama BC. Shimane Magic was better in fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Senegalese guard Pape Faye (194-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) added 15 points in the effort for Shimane Magic. Yokohama BC moved-up to third place, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Sendai 89ers. Shimane Magic lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
