Regular Season Round 29: Bishop's - UQAM 72-57

There was a small surprise in Lennoxville, QC where fifth ranked Gaiters (3-9) defeated 3rd placed Citadines (6-7) 72-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Gaiters. Citadines was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gaiters looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Citadines' players. Guard Sean Monplaisir (188) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and forward Jeremy Leonard-Smith (193) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Gaiters players scored in double figures. Forward Gregory Saint-Amand (193-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Richard Kwaku Addai (183-88) scored 12 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gaiters maintains fifth place with 3-9 record. Loser Citadines keep the third position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
