The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Blues' (9-11) home victory over 6th ranked Lions (3-17) 87-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Blues led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Blues outrebounded Lions 42-27 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Alex Hill (196, college: Cornell) stepped up and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and center Andrew Wasik (201) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Blues players scored in double figures. Blues' coach Mike Katz felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard David Tyndale (180) responded with 22 points and forward Nick Tufegdzich (201) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Blues moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Laurentian. Lions lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
