Rather expected game in Tbilisi where 10th ranked Batumi (1-11) was crushed by eighth ranked TSU (5-7) 95-74. The game without a history. TSU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TSU outrebounded Batumi 50-31 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for TSU especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Beqa Chikviladze (195-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Vasili Beruashvili (198-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. TSU's coach Nugzar Cheishvili felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Irakli Mikeladze (179-94) answered with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Levan Eliadze (197-92) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Batumi. Four Batumi players scored in double figures. TSU moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Dinamo Tbilisi and STU Tbilisi. Batumi lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. TSU's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Energy Invest (#11) in Rustavi which should be theoretically another easy game. Batumi will play at home against Samedicino-Academia in Tbilisi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
