Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Cajarural (5-14) lost on the road to fifth ranked Rivas Ecopolis (13-6) 70-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rivas Ecopolis. Cajarural was better in third quarter 12-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivas Ecopolis forced 19 Cajarural turnovers. It was a very good performance for international point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Asjha Jones (188-80, college: Connecticut) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Polish forward Daria Mieloszynska (188-83, college: Texas, agency: Data Plus Group) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) added 8 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Cajarural. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rivas Ecopolis moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mann Filter. Cajarural lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will face Navarra Pamplona (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cajarural will play against Ibiza.
