Very expected game when 9th ranked West Coast Waves (2-19) were smashed by second ranked Bulleen Boomers (15-6) in Melbourne 81-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bulleen Boomers. West Coast Waves managed to win third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bulleen Boomers forced 26 West Coast Waves turnovers. The former international center Liz Cambage (203-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and international guard Rachel Jarry (185-91) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Bulleen Boomers players scored in double figures. The former international forward Rohanee Cox (182-80) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Melissa Marsh (175-85) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for West Coast Waves in the defeat. West Coast Waves' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
