Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Armia (#1) and Dinamo Tbilisi (#7). Dinamo Tbilisi was crushed at home by 17 points 66-83 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dinamo Tbilisi. The game without a history. Armia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dinamo Tbilisi's 34. They outrebounded Dinamo Tbilisi 38-25 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Armia players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Swedish power forward Joakim Kjellbom (213-79, college: N.Arizona) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Ben Woodside (180-85, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Armia players scored in double figures. Armia's coach Kote Tugushi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Keyon Carter (203-88, college: ODU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and guard Beka Tsivtsivadze (190-89) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Dinamo Tbilisi in the defeat. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Armia. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with TSU Tbilisi and STU Tbilisi. Armia will play against Kutaisi (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Sokhumi.
