Regular Season Round 18: Perpignan - Roche 76-63

An interesting game for Perpignan (15-2) which hosted in Perpignan 4th ranked Roche (11-7). First ranked Perpignan managed to get a 13-point victory 76-63. The game was mostly controlled by Perpignan. Roche managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Perpignan won last quarter 25-14. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Roche turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Perpignan made 7 blocks. It was a good game for guard Isabelle Strunc (179-91) who led her team to a victory with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Center Helena Ciak (195-90) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Perpignan players scored in double figures. Forward Stephanie Dufour (188-91) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Elodie Gerard (172-81) added 13 points in the effort for Roche. Perpignan have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Roche at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Armentieres. Perpignan are looking forward to face SIG (#9) in llkirch-Graff. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roche will play at home against Armentieres (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
