Everything went according to plan in Catharines where second ranked Brock (14-7) outleveled 6th ranked Lakehead (9-11) 78-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Brock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lakehead's 30. Brock forced 29 Lakehead turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Nicole Rosenkranz (185) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Emily McKay (170) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Five Brock players scored in double figures. Forward Lindsay Druery (185-88) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and guard Ayse Kalkan (173-91) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Brock maintains second position with 14-7 record having just -12 point less than leader Windsor. Loser Lakehead dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
