There was no surprise in Kingston where 5th ranked Queen's (10-10) were defeated by second ranked Carleton (15-5) 67-53 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Carleton. Queen's was better in second period 9-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Queen's' 20. Carleton forced 25 Queen's turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Elizabeth Roach (173) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Alyson Bush (170) chipped in 15 points and 4 steals. Four Carleton players scored in double figures. Guard Brittany Moore (168-89) produced 11 points and forward Jenny Wright (178) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Queen's' coach Dave Wilson tested twelve players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Carleton have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-5 record having just -12 point less than leader Windsor. Loser Queen's dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
