Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Western (10-10) won against on the road 8th ranked Waterloo (1-19) 75-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-64. Western made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game, while Waterloo only scored seven points from the stripe. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Western made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Jenny Vaughan (175-90, college: Denver) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Katelyn Leddy (183-89) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Kate Kuntze (183) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and guard Laura Burnett (173) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts.
