Not a big story in a game in Barcelona where 8th ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (7-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Barca Regal II (9-6) 74-64. The game was mostly controlled by Barca Regal II. Fontedoso Carrefour was better in third quarter 20-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Barca Regal II won last quarter 24-15. The winners were led by Senegalese center Papa Mbaye (209-90) who scored that evening 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Eduard Riu (202-82) supported him with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Barca Regal II players scored in double figures. Barca Regal II's coach Borja Comenge allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by power forward Adrian Laso (204-90) did not help to save the game for Fontedoso Carrefour. Guinean forward Cheick Sekou Conde (203-92) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Barca Regal II moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Las Rozas and Aurteneche M. Fontedoso Carrefour at the other side keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Lan Mobel ISB. Barca Regal II will play against league's second-placed Ourense on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against Tenerife (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
