Date: February 12, 2012
There was no surprise in Zgorzelec where 10th ranked Polpharma (8-16) was crushed by second ranked PGE Turow (17-7) 103-80 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Polpharma managed to win fourth quarter 30-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PGE Turow shot 63.2 percent from the field. PGE Turow outrebounded Polpharma 33-19 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. PGE Turow looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international guard Michal Chylinski (199-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 13 points during the contest. American guard Brandon Hazzard (188-87, college: Troy) responded with 17 points and his fellow American import guard Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo.) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Loser Polpharma keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with PBG Basket.
