No shocking result in a game in Piekary where second ranked UMKS Kielce (12-5) won against 10th ranked UKS Siemaszka (7-11) 75-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by UMKS Kielce. UKS Siemaszka was better in fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UMKS Kielce forced 32 UKS Siemaszka turnovers and outrebounded them 55-42 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UMKS Kielce made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Artur Busz (194-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Pawel Bacik (187-88) helped adding 8 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side guard Lukasz Kasperzec (187-74) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and center Pawel Murza (202-90) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMKS Kielce maintains second place in Group C with 12-5 record having six points less than leader Slask II W. Newly promoted UKS Siemaszka keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. UMKS Kielce will face Handlopex AZS (#3) in Rzeszow in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UKS Siemaszka will play at home against Unia Tarnow (#6).
