Regular Season Round 30: UBC Okanagan - TRU 93-71
Date: February 12, 2012
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Kelowna, BC where sixth ranked Heat (3-15) outleveled 5th ranked Wolfpack (6-12) 93-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Heat. Wolfpack was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Yassine Ghomari who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Simon Pelland chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Heat players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Chas Kok (196) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and Justin King added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Heat maintains sixth position with 3-15 record. Loser Wolfpack keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
