Regular Season Round 18: Huima - Porvoon Tarmo 83-101

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Aanekoski where eighth ranked Porvoon Tarmo (7-11) beat 7th ranked Aanekosken Huima (8-10) 101-83 on Sunday. The game without a history. Porvoon Tarmo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American guard Shawn Henderson (190-88, college: Idaho) had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Benzor Simmons (195-88, college: Tenn-Martin) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Tuomas Viertola (196-90) with 25 points and 4 assists and Gambian forward Baboucarr Bojang (204-80, college: Illinois St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Porvoon Tarmo and four Aanekosken Huima players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Porvoon Tarmo maintains eighth position with 7-11 record, which they share with Ura Basket. Loser Aanekosken Huima keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will face higher ranked Pyrinto II (#4) in Tampere in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
