Regular Season Round 33: Jilin NE T. - Zhejiang CB 106-96

We should mention about the upset which took place in Changchun, where 10th ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (15-15) lost to thirteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (14-17) in a road game 96-106 on Sunday. Jilin Tigers forced 20 Zhejiang Cyclones turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Cartier Martin (201-84, college: Kansas St.) who scored 30 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international power forward Jinhui Ding (204-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and American guard J.R. Smith (198-85) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Jilin Tigers and four Zhejiang Cyclones players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jilin Tigers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Liaoning H. Zhejiang Cyclones lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. Jilin Tigers will face bottom-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#17) in Nanjing in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
