Third ranked MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza (14-7) crushed at home 13th ranked Sudety (3-18) by 19 points 72-53, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza. Sudety managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza forced 22 Sudety turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (176-93) fired 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. point guard Lukasz Szczypka (185-80) chipped in 14 points and 4 steals. Power forward Przemyslaw Hajnsz (203-82) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and forward Marcin Sterenga (201-78) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza maintains third position with 14-7 record having just two points less than leader Sokol Lancut. Newly promoted Sudety dropped to the bottom place with 18 games lost. They share the position with MOSiR Krosno. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza will meet SKK Siedlce (#4) on the road in the next round. Sudety will play against MKS Znicz Basket (#6) in Pruszkow and hope to secure a win.
