Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Nantes Reze (10-9) defeated on the road 11th ranked Arras (7-12) 64-56 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 35-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The former international power forward Aurelie Bonnan (187-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Senegalese center Aminata Diop (196-83, college: Georgetown) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Five Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Russian Nadezhda Grishaeva (195-89) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Nantes Reze. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Landes. Loser Arras keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Nantes Reze will meet at home league's leader Bourges in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arras will play against the league's second-placed Challes-les-Eaux (#2) and hope to secure a win.
