Regular Season Round 30: Cape Breton - St.Francis X. 68-87

Date: February 15, 2012
No shocking result in a game in Sydney, NS where first ranked X-Men (13-4) smashed 3rd ranked Capers (10-7) 87-68 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by X-Men. Capers was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. X-Men forced 21 Capers turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Bol Kong (198, college: Gonzaga) who scored 32 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Terry Thomas (193) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four X-Men players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists and guard Julien Smith (178) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. X-Men have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-4 record, which they share with Victoria and UBC. Loser Capers keep the third place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
