Regular Season Round 30: Waterloo - Laurier 96-95

There was a surprise result in Waterloo, ON where eighth ranked Warriors (6-15) edged second-best Golden Hawks (16-5) 96-95 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-95. The best player for the winners was guard Mike Wright (180-91) who scored 23 points and 8 assists. Forward Zach Angelini (188-92) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Kale Harrison (196) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and center Matthew Buckley (215) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Warriors maintains eighth position with 6-15 record. Loser Golden Hawks keep the second place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
