We should mention about the upset which took place in Imola, where higher ranked Tezenis Verona (8-11) lost to fourteenth ranked Aget Imola (7-12) in a road game 70-87. The game was mostly controlled by Aget Imola. Tezenis Verona was better in fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aget Imola made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Tezenis Verona turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Tezenis Verona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Trent Whiting (185-76, college: BYU) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Finnish power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence) accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Naturalized Argentinian guard Antonio Porta (188-83, agency: Players Group) came up with 7 points and 7 assists and the former international guard Giorgio Boscagin (195-83) added 12 points respectively for Tezenis Verona in the defeat. Tezenis Verona's coach Alberto Martelossi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Aget Imola moved-up to twelfth place. Tezenis Verona at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Aget Imola's next round opponent will be higher ranked Assi Ostuni (#10) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
