The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Obras as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Obras defeated 7th ranked La Union in Buenos Aires 89-80. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of La Union. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-23 La Union's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 89-80 at the end of the game. As mentioned above they took over a top position. La Union at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. La Union will play next round against Club 9 trying to get back on the winning streak. Obras will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Regatas Corrientes at home.
